DOER OR HEARER

So many of us belong to one religion or the other. The world has become a global village, and every one want to be identified with one religion or the other. Christianity goes beyond religion. It is a way of life that has the character and attributes of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let us look two set of people in the church today.
- Those that are hearers and doers of the word, and
- Those that are only hearers of the word. Which category do do belong? In James 1:22, it says”But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves”. Are you only a hearer of his word? if you are that means you are deceiving yourself. Whoever is not a doer of his word is heading for destruction on the last day. Not all that said to be Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of God, but he that does the will of my father which is in heaven[Matt 7:21]. The will of the Father is for you to be a doer of his word, and not hearer only.
Living in self deceit is dangerous. You may deceive your pastor, congregations, friends etc but you cannot deceive God. If you have fallen apart; due to worldly pleasures of life, return and repent because he is ready to receive you. Remember he is a merciful Father.
