BEWARE OF ADDICTION AND SEDUCTIVE LIFESTYLE.
Addiction is when someone is unable to stop using a substance, or engage in a behavior that is causing psychological or physical harm. Addiction also involves inability to stop partaking in activities like gambling, illicit drugs, alcohol, pornography etc. 1 Corinthians 6:12 says ” All things are lawful for me, but not all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.” People should beware of addictive and seductive lifestyle because is it harmful, and dangerous.
Seduction is any deliberate act to entice someone usually sexual in nature. Also, it’s an act or behavior capable of having sex desirable, and attractive. In Romans 14:21 the word of God says” It’s not good neither to eat or drink wine nor do anything that will make your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.” People should avoid seductive, and addictive lifestyle.
Things that ignite seduction.
Pornography. Pornographic films, and movies can ignite sexual seduction among youths. Christians should avoid pornographic films because it can triggers seductions.
Dressings. The way and manner one dresses has a way of seducing someone. Harlots and commercial sex workers are fun of wearing seductive dresses in other to seduce potential customers.
Various form of addiction.
Addiction varies. A lot of youths are suffering today as a result of various addictions. Some of these addictions are
Substance addiction. Examples of substance addiction include drug abuse like cocaine, inhalants, smoking, alcoholism etc.
Behavioral addiction. Behavioral addictions are gambling, sex, pornography, masturbation, social media etc.
Power addiction. These kind of addiction is common among leaders and those in authority. Some leaders uses their position to intimidate, influence, harass, and control their subjects. [Prov 28:15].
People should avoid addictive, and seductive lifestyles because it’s unholy, morally wrong, and generally unacceptable. Men and woman should dress decently and avoid seductive lifestyle, and various forms of addiction. Exposing vital parts of your body in the name of fashion should be avoided especially women.
Seductive and addictive lifestyles has caused a lot of damages to youths, families, and the nation at large. It’s a societal ill, malady, and reproach.
